The name DEVO’58 stand for ‘Founded by Some Friends’, or ‘Door Enige Vrienden Opgericht’ in Dutch, in 1958. One of the smallest clubs still remaining independent in Amsterdam, it’s a club of great warmth and a friendly atmosphere. At DEVO’58 we have an open and engaging club culture, consisting of men’s and women’s teams with mostly former students and expats.
DEVO’58 represent seniors football on all levels. We do not have youth members, so all of the clubs resources are dedicated to the senior members, and the board values its amateur teams as highly as it does the first team.
We play on real grass, have brand new locker rooms and there is free parking available. Our contribution is a modest €160per year, beers are €1.60 and DEVO’58 shirts can be bought at the club for only €48.
DEVO’58 offers a good atmosphere, fun, sports and plenty of parties, such as the yearly ‘Windmill Cup’ tournament and the ever festive ‘New Years reception’.
So, do you live in (West) Amsterdam and are you looking for a club to play football? For €150 a year you can play at a club where a good atmosphere matters, where a bottle of Heineken is only €1.60, and where lower league teams are just as important as the first team. Sounds good? Then sign up by yourself or with your friends for the new season!
